I want to share a little story of my journey to a new tourist destination in Kota Bangun, Kutai Kartanegara in East Kalimantan

 The location of this tour is actually not bad, but because it is far from me to visit new places and so that I can get photos from the open air, then distance is not a problem for me.

 The distance to Tanjung Sarai Lake Tourism Place is the name of the place I visited, approximately 60 km when viewed on Maps with a travel time of approximately 3 hours if traffic is heavy and it can only take 2.5 hours if traffic is normal.

 The road from Samarinda, where I live to Kota Bangun, is very good, the road is smooth with asphalt and some of them are cast cement roads.

 Broadly speaking, our journey will not encounter difficulties related to highway access.

 Indeed, we are very spoiled by the atmosphere that is still original here.

 The atmosphere of the Kalimantan forest is famous for its tropical trees, and in this location we can still find forest conditions that are truly pristine.

 Imagine how extraordinary in the middle of the forest we can find a view of a clean and beautiful lake with several small islands in the waters.

 And currently entering this tourist spot there are no charges such as entrance tickets or parking fees, because this tourist spot is relatively new and is still in the process of being developed to make it more beautiful and comfortable when tourists visit it later.

 Honestly, in East Kalimantan, there are not many tourist visits that have been exposed, even though here it has a lot of tourism potential, but it has not been widely explored.

 This is where the role of a Local Guides is needed to help explore new places in order to advance the potential of an area.

 This place usually has a busy visiting time, which is in the afternoon.

 Many visitors spend time here enjoying the evening with their loved ones and their family and friends.

 Why are the afternoons crowded?  Because Kalimantan is also famous for its heat and in this tourist spot there are not many places like gazebos to take shelter when it is hot, then the ideal time to enjoy the beauty of this lake is in the afternoon.

 I really feel grateful to be able to visit this place, satisfied with the happy feeling to be able to enjoy the very pure nature of the air and atmosphere. So the long distance is paid off by treating the beauty of Lake Tanjung Sarai.
